BTW does local control mean controled from the VFD or does it mean from a stop/start statiobn located near the operator of the machine. I think you may be right that I have to have a pot to make it work. If not I plan on a trip to the Bay Area next week. Radio Shack does not have a 2.2 K pot so I wilh have to try the the one other electronics store in town. John, sorry for the bad spelling in the previous post, I am geting a cold and don not feel well. I have the book on the extra board but the book on the main VFD which is the one on the web, and the programming panel board is not to hand. We had to buy one of these as the standard VFD can't go above base frequency 60 Hz in your case, 50 Hz in ours We needed 90 Hz for an application and we also had to buy an extra programming panel to set this up. There was some extra boards that fitted inside to give you further options.

Bill, Just been and looked they were model 16's You can't alter anything on the base unit other than the speed with the pot.
